Australia-ATLAS officially joins EGI-Inspire

The University of Melbourne, represented by Australia-ATLAS as part of the Experimental Particle Physics Group, has now signed on as a partner to EGI-Inspire.

Australia-ATLAS will continue the work started under the EGEE project, aiding researchers to access data and resources across international and institutional boundaries.

Tom Fifield, technical lead of Australia-ATLAS' Application Porting team announced that Australia-ATLAS is now working with researchers from the Australian Synchrotron and Melbourne Neuropsychiatry Centre to assist their use of grid computing. The work will be presented at eResearch Australasia.
